Thank you to all who helped us 'Spread the Warmth' to
Sacramento area homeless veterans, families, men, women, and children.

We collected over 400 blankets!!!

As part of the 2014 National Homelessness Awareness Month this November, HomeAid launched our inaugural “Spread the Warmth” blanket donation drive.   We accepted donations of new, twin blankets for homeless staying at Volunteers of America’s Bannon Family Shelter, Next Move’s Family Shelter, and Loaves and Fishes’ Mary House.  Getting one new, twin blanket can make a huge difference in the life of one adult or one child.  This was one way we could involve our entire community in raising awareness about homelessness.

We would not have been able to collect the 400+ blankets without the help of our incredible partners:

VITEK Mortgage Group
Beutler Corporation
Meritage Homes
Fidelity National Title
DeMattei Real Estate Team
National Charity League
Lily’s Brownie Troop # 339
Better Homes and Garden Real Estate, Reliance Partners
WinSol Groundworks

Major Donor Recognition

It is the generosity of community partners like these that enables HomeAid to continue to support projects that aid homeless families and individuals throughout the Sacramento Region.  THANK YOU!

HomeAid Sacramento would like to thank the 50+ volunteers who came to help paint Volunteers of America's Apartments for Former Foster Youth in Mather, CA.  Your assistance is so greatly appreciated.  Without you, none of what we do would be possible.  THANK YOU!

Check back for more volunteer opportunities coming in 2015!
