Veterans and Their Families Grateful to HomeAid Sacramento and Volunteers of America for New Apartments August 13, 2018

Veteran Robert, his wife Angie and their two children have now moved out of their car and into their new home, a two-bedroom, one bath renovated apartment operated by Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada. They  are very grateful to now have a true home that is a safe place to raise their children.  The family came up with the idea of an ice cream social as a way for the veterans and their families to thank the building teams, organizations, and donors who made their new homes possible.

Home Builders and Trades Come Together to Expand Domestic Violence Shelter March 11, 2016

HomeAid Sacramento and The New Home Company (NWHM) today participated in the dedication of the Wallace and Vannuci Shelter expansion at Empower Yolo, the first domestic violence shelter in Yolo County, founded in 1977. With the expansion, the shelter, which has served more than 2,000 women and children since its inception, will increase its bed capacity from 27 to 35 beds.
