Recognized for giving back to the community, The New Home Company’s generosity and philanthropic efforts are an integral part of its corporate culture. The Aliso Viejo based homebuilder held its 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefitting HomeAid Sacramento at Catta Verdera County Club on Friday, August 10th, 2018.
Not only did the company host this incredible event, its team and trade partners will take on a second renovation for Maryhouse, a part of the “HomeAid BUILDS” program. The Sacramento Loaves & Fishes day shelter helps women and children, offering hospitality to over 3,300 women, children and families last year alone and had not seen any enhancements in more than 25 years. Completing a month long renovation earlier this year, the second project will provide a downstairs ADA shower and laundry facility.
“HomeAid Sacramento is a leader in building and expanding dignified housing where the homeless rebuild their lives.” said Kevin Carson, Division President for The New Home Company. “I have been honored to support HomeAid for more than 20 years and value the opportunity it provides to all our employees for participation in such worthwhile charitable endeavors. Our efforts will help support both HomeAid’s “BUILDS” and “CARES” programs, in particular the second of the two very important projects for Maryhouse.
HomeAid Sacramento has been championing three special programs since 1996. “HomeAid BUILDS” has completed 90 separate building projects that directly serves homeless families, individuals and veterans. “HomeAid CARES” is an outreach program that joins volunteers for a CARES event or project supporting HomesAid’s mission to build new lives, donating a total of 4,544 hours to-date. “HomeAid PARTNERS” make the charity’s work possible, relying on partners in the building industry, financial institutions and community members.
