2018 Mid-Year Highlights
September 27, 2018

Throughout the year, HomeAid has been deeply involved in several projects to benefit homeless men, women, and families in the Sacramento community. We are happy to report the completion of important renovations for Maryhouse, a program of Sacramento Loaves and Fishes serving homeless women and children, and My Sister’s House enjoys a new breakroom, flooring and storage. The facility serves Asian and Pacific Islander victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.

Renovation projects in the planning process or underway will benefit Weave, two safe cottages serving women and children of domestic violence and human trafficking; Taylor House, home for young women aged out of foster care; and Volunteers of America’s Apartments, a complex serving Veterans and their families.

Painting a Better Tomorrow CARE day at VOA Mather campus celebrated National Painting Day in May. Our “Spread the Warmth” campaign distributed blankets and tarps through The Gathering Inn, and  HomeAid continues to collect essentials for CARE Kits and distribute to individuals experiencing homelessness. Come join us in giving back at any of our events and help us support our community!
